Waiting on Wednesday: Since You've Been Gone

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases.

Since You've Been Gone
by Morgan Matson
Simon & Schuster
Coming May 6, 2014

Summary:
The Pre-Sloane Emily didn't go to parties, she barely talked to guys, she didn't do anything crazy. Enter Sloane, social tornado and the best kind of best friend—the one who yanks you out of your shell. But right before what should have been an epic summer, Sloane just... disappears. No note. No calls. No texts. No Sloane. There’s just a random to-do list. On it, thirteen Sloane-selected-definitely-bizarre-tasks that Emily would never try... unless they could lead back to her best friend. Apple Picking at Night? Ok, easy enough.Dance until Dawn? Sure. Why not? Kiss a Stranger? Wait... what?

Getting through Sloane’s list would mean a lot of firsts. But Emily has this whole unexpected summer ahead of her, and the help of Frank Porter (totally unexpected) to check things off. Who knows what she’ll find?

Go Skinny Dipping? Um...

Why I want it:
I haven't read either of Morgan Matson's other books yet, but they both come highly recommended. Plus, I'm liking the whole bucket list trend going on right now. I've always been the kind of person with a list of things I want to do in my life so it's really cool and inspiring to read about characters checking things off.

Why I think you should want it:
Again, Morgan Matson is a highly recommended author. Plus cool premise that promises hijinks.

Have you read Amy & Roger's Epic Detour or Second Chance Summer? Did you like them and which should I read first? Does Since You've Been Gone sound like a book for you? Please share your thoughts and WoW picks & links in the comments!

  1. I haven't read Roger and Amy's Epic Detour, but it's on my TBR list and so is this one. It sounds so good! And I think the cover is cute :)
