Set against a future of marauding space scavengers and deadly aliens who kill with sound, here is a frightening, fast-paced YA adventure from the author of the acclaimed horror novel, Shutter.

Tuck has been in stasis on the USS John Muir, a ship that houses Earth’s most valued artifacts—its natural resources. Parks and mountains are preserved in space.

Laura belongs to a shipraiding family, who are funded by a group used to getting what they want. And they want what’s on the Muir.

Tuck and Laura didn’t bargain on working together, or battling mutant aliens who use sound to kill. But their plan is the only hope for their crews, their families, and themselves.

In space, nobody can hear you scream . . . but on the John Muir, the screams are the last thing you'll hear.

Why I Want It:
MARAUDING. SPACE. SCAVENGERS. Aliens is one of my favorite movies of all time so I'm totally down with space horror.

Why I think you should want it:
MARAUDING. SPACE. SCAVENGERS. I mean seriously, do you need more reasons???

  1. Ooh nice! I think I read a book of hers some years ago...can't remember now. Sounds like a creepy good read though!

    Here's my WoW

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  2. I don't think I liked her other book but I can never say "no" to a spooky read!

  3. Ooh this sounds so good. Adding it to my TBR now!

  4. Ooh, mutant aliens that use sound to kill--scary stuff! Maybe that's what happened in Cuba!

  5. That is a seriously creepy cover! This doesn't sound like a book I'd normally read, but I enjoyed hearing your thoughts. Aliens still kind of freaks me out!

  6. I don't read much sci-fi, but I can see why you're excited for this, especially if Aliens is a fave movie of yours! It sounds like a thrilling read, always love a good fast-paced story that's hard to put down.
