Monthly Wrap-up: November's safe to say my November did not end how I wanted it to. I got started with a novel for NaNoWriMo, but a couple of days early in the month with a full work schedule prevented me from getting a solid foundation. That put me off my schedule, and I never got my groove back. Think I'll just stick to reading and reviewing for a while. But I also went through a reading funk so my numbers are way off from what they usually are. Oh, well. That's life. I did get to some really lovely and incredible books this month so I'm happy with that.

Looking back...

Looking ahead...
December releases I'm excited about:
Racing Savannah - Miranda Kenneally
These Broken Stars - Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
Roomies - Tara Altebrando & Sara Zarr
The Promise of Amazing - Robin Constantine
"Fracture Me" - Tahereh Mafi

Psst. In case you didn't know about it. YALit is a really good place to go for book release dates. Sometimes they're a little off, but if you want pretty good idea of what's coming out when, it's a great resource.

December TBR:
Her Dark Curiosity - Megan Shepherd
Perfect Lies - Kiersten White
Let the Storms Break - Shannon Messenger
Being Sloane Jacobs - Lauren Morrill

And those are the only ones I'm going to commit to beforehand. I've been bad about not reading everything in previous months. I really need the freedom to choose my next read, rather than feeling boxed in by a schedule.

  1. I'm looking forward to your review of Her Dark Curiosity. It looks really interesting!

    1. If you haven't read The Madman's Daughter yet, I very highly recommend it!

  2. Your December TBR and releases are books I cannot wait to read either.

    1. I have a feeling those are going to be very popular with a lot of readers this winter!

  3. We have many of the same books n our TBR! December is going to be a great month for reading! :)

    Kate @ Ex Libris

    1. Absolutely! Since there aren't a lot of new books, I'm going to use this month to get ahead in my reading for 2014.

  4. I just finished Champion today!!!! All I have to say is WOW. That was an amazing book and the ending was enough for me. I LOVED IT. So many feels!!!!

    1. I'm so glad you liked it! I haven't seen many reviews for it, but I expected a lot more people to be angry or disappointed because, yeah, that finish was crazy!

  5. I made it two weeks in NaNo. Silly kids mutinying while daddy was away at a school! I think we should figure out a good time to read Her Dark Curiosity together this month (: Infinite also needs to go on your list for December. (:

    1. Oh, man, I totally forgot about Infinite! Derp. I think that's cause I put it on my November TBR at the end of October.

  6. Wow, you read a lot of books! :O

    1. Not as many as I usually do, but I suppose I can't complain. It was a holiday month, after all!
