Weekly Wrap-up: September 1-7

This week was kind of a blur. I think I just had a lot of everyday commonplace things to do that ate into my reading time. Excited about this upcoming week, though. Should be a good one! What have you been reading? What's coming up? Let me know!

Completed:
How to Love - Katie Cotugno: 4 stars. Really good read. Very different and provacative. Review coming this week.
Hourglass (Hourglass #1) - Myra McEntire: 4 stars. Can't wait to jump into Timepiece!

Currently Reading:
Earthbound (Earthbound #1) - Aprilynne Pike
Steel Lily (Periodic Series #1) - Megan Curd

New to my bookshelf this week:
Library:
The Coldest Girl in Coldtown - Holly Black
The Distance Between Us - Kasie West
Velveteen (Velveteen #1) - Daniel Marks
The Bitter Kingdom (The Girl of Fire & Thorns #3) - Rae Carson
Game of Thrones graphic novel, Volumes 1 & 2 - George R. R. Martin

Bought:
Hereafter & Arise (Hereafter #1 & #2) - Tara Hudson (Book CloseOuts Book Outlet): These are now signed. I found Book Outlet after my blogger friend Crystal from Crystal in Bookland raved about their prices on her blog. SUPER great book deals here, friends! Just so there is no confusion, I bought my books from Book CloseOuts, but they have changed their name and their site to Book Outlet.
The Dark Between - Sonia Gensler (B&N): Also signed!
The Lost Sun (United States of Asgard #1) - Tessa Gratton (B&N): Signed.
I also bought a ton of books by Myra McEntire (B&N), Markus Zusak (HPB), and Anna Godberson (HPB) as well as other books by the authors named above. These books are marked for future giveaways so keep that in mind!

ARC:
Perfect Ruin (Internment Chronicles #1) - Lauren DeStefano: This one actually showed up at my house only a couple hours after I posted last week's wrap-up. It made my day! Thanks, Simon & Schuster!

Events attended:
YA AdVANture tour stop in Frisco, TX, with Sonia Gensler, Tessa Gratton, Tara Hudson, & Myra McEntire.

  2. So, uh, I just went to the book outlet website and made it the homescreen on my family's laptop. I mean, its my birthday in two weeks and I'm just trying to give them ideas. Haha

    1. Great idea, Kristi! I have a feeling I'll be using it for giveaways instead of Amazon and Half Price Books.

  3. Definitely going to check out the outlet site! Tim DOES owe me some books after all... My week was a blur, too! I suspect this week will be since we're getting ready for the Boro and the beach!
