Top Ten Tuesday #37: Popular Authors I've Never Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. Each week the girls at B&B think up a fun theme, and participating bloggers post their favorite 10 books in that category. This week's theme is

TopTen Popular Authors I've Never Read
Usually, I'm all over the big authors and big books before they're big, but yes, even I miss out on some big names and titles. I admit to only recently jumping on the Jennifer L. Armentrout train, and I'm so glad I finally listened to all those recommendations to finally pick up her books. Now, here's a list of some brand name authors whose books I haven't yet read. Who should I read first?

Margaret Stohl & Kami Garcia
Rae Carson
Patrick Ness
Holly Black
Melissa de la Cruz
Pittacus Lore
Cora Carmack
Jamie McGuire
Carrie Ryan
Sarah J. Maas

Who's on your list today? If it's Richelle Mead, Ally Carter or Jennifer Echols, this is my recommendation that you read their books ASAP! Share those TTT links & please tell me who of this list I need to push to the top of my TBR!

  1. Jamie McGuire made my list this week as well. I haven't read Holly Black, but I picked up a copy of The Coldest Girl in Coldtown from the library last month and plan on reading it very soon, so I did not include her on the list. Cora Carmack is another author I could have included this week.

    Here is my TTT:

  2. So I didn't read Girl of Fire and Thorns or Throne of Glass until this year, and oh my word, you must try them! They're both so amazing.

    Here's my TTT:

  3. LOVE Carrie Ryan's Forest of Hands and Teeth. Great books on my keeper shelf.

  4. The only name I recognize is Pittacus Lore. You haven't read I am Number Four yet? *cringes* Read it!!!! :D All those other names don't ring the slight bell.

    Here's my Top Ten:

For reals. Now. I love you. (:

  6. Ally Carter and Richelle Mead are definitely on my list, along with Cassandra Clare, Kami Garcia, and Libba Bray.

I highly recommend Patrick Ness, Holly Black, and Sarah J. Maas! Throne of Glass is sooo wonderful and swoon-worthy.

  7. I am going to recommend Jamie McGuire if you are looking to read something NA and then Pittacus Lore if you are looking for an amazing science fiction alien YA

  8. I've never read Pittacus Lore because I found out he was the same guy at the center of the "A Million Little Pieces" scandal - where he wrote it as a memoir and then later came out to say it was fiction. After that, I just have stayed away from him. I've also never read Jamie McGuire, Carrie Ryan, Sarah J Maas, Rae Carson, Cara Carmack, or Melissa de la Cruz.
